Meet baby Jacob!

Meet baby Jacob!  He was considered a newborn session, although he was almost 2 months old when we did his portraits!

As with all “newborns”, we give ample time to feed and be rocked to sleep and Jacob was no exception.  He and his momma came to us all the way from the outskirts of Philadelphia, so he was a pretty hungry (but happy) baby when he arrived to our South Jersey portrait studio.  We started his poses with some wide awake shots and captured the most adorable moments with a simple bonnet and teddy bear prop.

We then spent the better part of 30-45 minutes talking and slowly easing Jacob back into a deep sleep.  He allowed us a solid 20 mins of time to photograph all of his sleepy shots and prop photos.  By the time it came to photographing him with his mom, he was wide awake but never cried or fussed.  Totally lucked out with this awesome baby!

Mom comes back into the studio today to view and order her portraits and we just KNOW the custom slideshow we created, will have her crying in no time. He’s such an angelic little guy, and a real pleasure to photograph.

I’m glad we never turn away newborns due to their age; sometimes our best/favorite sessions are from babies 1 month old!
